摘要
Expressions for magnetic interactions between parallel plates of different size and thickness are derived as a function of separation. The method involves subdividing the plates into individual magnetic moments and summing up the interactions between moments on opposite plates at all angles. The magnetic interaction energies calculated using developed equations are much weaker than estimated by the approximate relationship, based on the simple dipole-dipole interaction. The derived model explains the agglomeration effect of platelet-type hematite particles in aqueous dispersions at a given ionic strength. © 1991.
