摘要：
The viability of heterokaryons obtained by nuclear transplantation between different strains of amoebae was studied. A heterokaryon gave rise to two kinds of cells, one containing the host and the other the heterologous nucleus. The latter were never viable, and more than 90 % of the host cells also failed to form clones when the heterologous nuclei were present 15 min or longer. The lethal action was apparently caused by a diffusible factor which acted primarily on the nuclei of the host cells. © 1969.
