摘要:
We have been interested in using superconducting coil to store energy as an impulsive high power supply for industrial applications (smoothing of short power interruptions, smoothing of varying load). First, this paper presents the results of an economical and technical evaluation of such a system for two applications. Second, this paper presents a general evaluation of prospective costs which are compared to battery systems. The SMES systems using low Tc superconductors appear to have a potential interest for high powers during a short time.
