摘要
The phase transition in the CuAu system between the strictly ordered structure CuAu I and the superlattice structure CuAu II is accompanied by a small latent heat. This letter proposes a mechanism to account for the entropy of disorder in CuAu II which is compatible with the regular appearance of the micrographs of thin films of this alloy.
