Rates of energy transfer from N(2)A(3)Sigma(+)(u) to atomic mercury and nitric oxide

摘要
Rate coefficients for electronic energy transfer from N(2)A(3)Sigma(+)(u) to Hg and NO were recorded as 2.90 (+/- 0.15) x 10(-10) and 5.45 (+/- 0.30 x 10(-11) cm(3) sec(-1) molecule(-1) respectively. Excitation of the molecular nitrogen was achieved by monochromatic flash-photosensitization with the resonance radiations of xenon and krypton.
