摘要
General sensitivity to noise was assessed in 215 Swedish university students by means of Weinstein's (Journal of Applied Psychology, 63, 458-466, 1978) Noise Sensitivity Scale (NSS). The subjects also filled in the Eysenck Personality Inventory (EPI). A highly significant negative correlation was found between noise sensitivity and extraversion. The relationship was consistent, all of the 21 NSS item correlations being in the expected (negative) direction. There was a marginally significant positive correlation between noise sensitivity and neuroticism, but it disappeared when the effect of extraversion was partialled out. © 1990.
