摘要
In principle, sediment diffusion coefficients can be calculated by correcting solution diffusion coefficients with tortuosities deduced from electrical resistivity measurements. The calculation of the solution diffusion coefficient is discussed. Studies of the counterdiffusion of KBr and KCl through inert and ion exchanging porous beds are described. Good agreement between diffusion coefficients obtained by monitoring the chemical composition in the experimental apparaturs and those calculated from resistivity measurements is found.
