摘要
A study was designed to determine the rupturing pressures of two types of sutureless surgery-a 5.2 mm incision and a 4.0 mm incision with a Prodigy inserter-and to compare them with the rupturing pressure of a standard limbal incision with 10-0 nylon suture closure. The 5.2 mm self-sealing incision ruptured at a pressure four times greater than the sutured limbal incision. The 4.0 mm self-sealing incision with a Prodigy inserter ruptured at a pressure similar to that of the sutured limbal incision. Suturing the self-sealing incisions did not significantly change the rupturing pressure.
