摘要
The penetration of tobacco smoke aerosol through a bed of sand was measured in the presence of low-frequency sound. The sound considerably increased the deposition of the aerosol in the frequency range 200-1600 Hz. No trend in sound effectiveness with frequency was observed within this range at constant power input to the sound generator, and irregularities in the curve were ascribed to variation in the acoustical parameters of the system with frequency. The range of the experimental results was not broad enough to permit definitive conclusions as to the mechanisms involved. © 1969.
