RECENT DEVELOPMENTS IN R-MATRIX PROGRAMS FOR ELECTRON-ATOM SCATTERING

摘要
A range of new R-matrix programs for describing electron and photon collisions with atoms and atomic ions are near completion. These incorporate improved algorithms and are expected to extend significantly both the range and accuracy of calculations in this area. We present an overview of the techniques adopted in these packages and also describe initial efforts to adapt R-matrix procedures for use on MIMD parallel computers.
