摘要
Superelastic electron scattering from laser-excited Yb-174 is used to measure the L(perpendicular-to+) electron impact coherence parameter for excitation of the 6P-3(1) level at intermediate impact energies. This is the first application of the superelastic scattering technique to the determination of coherence parameters for excitation of an atomic level in which spin-orbit coupling plays a non-negligible role.
