HYDRATION OF NI2+ IN AQUEOUS-SOLUTIONS

摘要
Ni2+ ions in aqueous solutions of NiCl2 are hydrated by six water molecules. It is shown that the substantial angle of tilt between the Ni-O axis and the plane of the water molecule reported in an earlier study gradually disappears as the concentration of the solution is reduced. The significance of this result for solution theory is briefly mentioned.
