RESONANCE RAMAN-SPECTROSCOPY OF THE EMERALDINE INSULATOR-TO-METAL PHASE-TRANSITION

摘要
We present a detailed resonant Raman and optical spectroscopy study on the protonation-induced phase transition from the insulating to the metallic state in middle oxidized polyaniline (polyemeraldine). The evolution of the Raman intensities of quinoid and benzenoid ring vibrational modes as a function of pH show a clear transition in the polymer structure with a critical protonation level occurring around pH = 3. The spectroscopic results support the polaron lattice model in the metallic state of polyaniline. © 1990.
