摘要
Absorption line profiles have been determined in laminar, premixed, shielded flames at atmospheric and at reduced pressure, by making use of a Zeeman scanning technique. The wavelength of a background low-pressure discharge light source was changed by ±0·1 A ̊ with a variable magnetic field. Line profiles of one atomic zinc line and two rotational lines in the 0,0 band of the 2Σ+ - 2Π transition of OH have been measured in the flames. Values for the damping parameter a values of the lines and average values for collision cross sections are derived from these profiles for OH and Zn lines in flames at pressures from 50 to 760 torr and temperatures from 2100° to 2300°K. The dependence of the damping parameter on overall flame pressure agrees with theoretical predictions. © 1969.
