摘要
A new non-motile member of the Aconchulinida is described and compared with two other members Nuclearia and Vampyrella. A new family, Nucleariidae, is proposed for filose amoebae which engulf food particles, including the genera Nuclearia and Nucleosphaerium. Comparisons are also made with the genera Asterocaelum, Penardia, and Heliosphaerium. The characteristic shape of Nucleosphaerium tuckeri is spherical, and no motile form was observed. Fine filose pseudopodia radiate from the cell surface, and the organism has an external mucilaginous coat with adherent bacteria. The central nucleus contains a large lobed nucleolus. Numerous internal endozoic bacteria were observed. A new definition for filose pseudopodia is saggested, and a taxonomic outline of the class Filosea is included. © 1979, VEB Gustav Fischer Verlag Jena. All rights reserved.
