摘要
Chemiluminescence (CL) measurements have been made in order to study the oxidative behaviour of Nylon-6,6 with different sample geometries. Some important parameters affecting the CL intensity have been evaluated, including light absorption, preconditioning in nitrogen, sample thickness and temperature. Our results indicate that the CL intensity is affected to a large extent by light absorption and scattering as well as by oxygen diffusion. The CL intensity obtained from a 0.06 mm thick sample was found to follow an Arrhenius temperature dependence, the activation energy being estimated to be 85 kJ/mol in the temperature range 50-140-degrees-C.
