CONDUCTANCE FLUCTUATIONS IN SMALL NORMAL AND SUPERCONDUCTOR COMPOSITE WIRE SYSTEMS

摘要
Conductance fluctuations and oscillations with applied magnetic field in small normal and superconductor composite wire systems are studied theoretically. It is shown that the phase memory of a normal electron vanishes in a superconductor when its length is much longer than xi. Superconductors, however, greatly affect transport properties through the Andreev reflection. For example, the conductance of a NSN ring oscillates as the function of applied magnetic field with period hc/2e, not hc/e.
