摘要
Magnetic properties of rough Fe(110) films have been investigated by Torsion Oscillation Magnetometry (TOM). It is found that the magnetic moment of a single Fe-atom on a step edge is increased by (0.7 +/- 0.4)mu(B) to (3.4 +/- 0.4)mu(B), compared to a surface moment of (2.7 +/- 0.2)mu(B). The result is roughly in accordance with values obtained from a local moment theory.
