COLONIZATION OF MAIZE ROOTS BY VAM-FUNGI UNDER CONDITIONS OF LONG-TERM FERTILIZATION OF VARYING INTENSITY

摘要
The intensity of colonization of maize roots by VAM-fungi was followed in field experiments using various doses of nutrients during a period of 8 years. The following conclusions could be reached: 1. 1) The added amount of phosphorus did not significantly influence the root colonization, similarly to the used doses of K, Ca and manure. 2. 2) The insufficient supply of N and its high doses caused a considerable decrease of the intensity of infection. 3. 3) The highest intensity of infection was detected in the variant in which elevated doses of all nutrients were simultaneously added and, on the contrary, the infection was significantly suppressed in the soil without any fertilizer. This phenomenon was statistically highly significant. © 1990.
