摘要：

Examines the "Growth Triangle', (GT) linking Singapore, Johor in Malaysia and Riau in Indonesia, and the recent policy reorientations which have led to this new development, including joint promotion of the GT as an investment site for transnational corporations, cooperation in exploiting the region's tourist potential and institutional measures to facilitate the flow of capital, goods and labour across state boundaries. Recent GT developments are examined, particularly the Singapore-Johor connection and the links between Singapore and Riau. The significance of the GT for development studies is also discussed. -R.House
