摘要：

The reasons for the necessity of the endoscopy of the meatus nasi medius are given and the various diagnostic and therapeutic possibilities are described. After a survey of the development of the rhinoscopy in this special area the technique is demonstrated for the endoscopic investigation: The first step is the examination of the structures in the middle meatus from the meatus nasi communis, as localized diseases of the mucous membrane may cause collateral signs; the second step is the direct examination of the middle meatus by way of a posterior or anterior approach. © 1978 Springer-Verlag.
