摘要
The U.S. Department of Energy is researching high-temperature ceramic gas separation membranes. DOE will demonstrate the feasibility of using these membranes to remove the sulfur and nitrogen contaminants found in gas streams of advanced coal-based power generation systems. These contaminants must be removed to protect not only the turbine system components but also the environment. This paper discusses the integration of passive, faciltated, and catalytic membranes, and the expected benefits of applying this membrane technology.
