C-AXIS RESISTIVITY EVOLUTION DURING THE INTERCALATION OF POTASSIUM INTO GRAPHITE

摘要
An in situ study of the intercalation of potassium vapor into H. O. P. G. has been carried out covering the initial stages right up to the fully saturated G. I. C. This study shows that the c-axis resistivity during intercalation goes through a maximum at approximately 10th stage, then decreases to the low value of the 1st stage compound. The 4. 2-290 K behavior of weakly doped products is similar to that of graphite. First stage samples show transitions at temperature higher than ambient, some of which can be linked to structural ordering.
