Synthesis of Cyclopropylsilane The synthesis of cyclopropylsilane (3) from cyclopropyl lithium and tetrachlorosilane, with a yield up to 48%, is described. As with the majority of known silanes this new three‐membered ring compound with a strong π‐acceptor group shows no chemical reaction with oxygen or with water.
