摘要
This review discusses the problem of calculating compressible viscous flows. The discussion emphasizes flows at high Reynolds number with strong viscous-inviscid interactions. Two key features (Stewartson 1974) of such flows - separation and turbulence - have defied mathematical analysis for more than a century after the governing Navier-Stokes equations were devised. Of these two features, the capability of predicting laminar separation is now on fairly solid ground. The capability of computing turbulent flows, however, is far from complete and represents the principal pacing item for the continued development of computational fluid dynamics.
