摘要
The decay of recombination luminescence intensity I with time t, given by the Debye-Edwards law I ∝ t-m, with m≈1 and time independent, applies to Coulombically correlated charge pairs in rigid low-dielectric media. For observation times much greater than preparation times it is remarkably successful, e.g., for a range of 10-6-102s for some media. These results provide a minimal experimental basis for examining improved procedures for measurement and presentation of results. A simple extension of the D-E law for electron decay or luminescence intensity describes results quantitatively for continuous excitation at low constant dose rate with in-phase measurement, extending the range and improving the precision. © 1979 American Institute of Physics.
