摘要
Surface structure of chemically treated Mg, Mg2Ni and LaNi4.7Al0.3 was investigated by three surface analysis techniques. It was found that LaF3 and MgF2 are formed on the outer surface and metallic Ni precipitates in a sub-surface. A fine net-like structure of crystallite is formed on the surface of LaNi4.7Al0.3 and a rose petal-shaped structure is formed on the surface of Mg and Mg2Ni alloys. These channel structures contribute to increase the specific surface area and to enhance reactivity for hydrogen uptake.
