STUDY OF EXCITED STATES OF 40CA AND 48CA BY (P,P'GAMMA) REACTION AT EP = 12-MEV

摘要
Several previously unobserved levels of 40Ca and 48Ca were identified by p′-γ coincidences; the decay schemes of some of them were deduced. Angular distributions of inelastically scattered protons on 48Ca were measured and fitted with the DWBA code JULIE. The 5.15 MeV level of 48Ca is probably the first 5- state in this nucleus. The excitation energy and gamma decay of the 7.40 and 7.68 MeV levels of 40Ca correspond to that of the expected 6+ term of the rotational band 3.35 (0+), 3.90 (2+), 5.27 (4+). © 1969.
