摘要
We show that if the first order probability density function of height on a rough surface is assumed to be symmetrical, it can be calculated from measurements of scattered coherent light made in and near the centre of the far-field. We derive the theory of the method and present some experimental results obtained for ground glass surfaces. © 1979 Chapman and Hall Ltd.
