摘要
Magnetic and crystallographic natures of compounds Mn1-xCrxAs (0.3≧ × >0) were studied in the temperature ranges from 4.2° to 900°K and from 100° to 320°K. The compounds had MnP-type (B31) structure at low temperatures and transformed into NiAs-type (B8 1) structure at high temperatures. These compounds were metamagnetic at low temperatures. It was further confirmed that the deformation induced a low spin state of metal ions in the compounds, while with decease in deformation due to the rise of temperature, the metal ions in the compounds transfer to a high spin state, as in the case of MnAs0.9P0.1. © 1969, THE PHYSICAL SOCIETY OF JAPAN.
