摘要
A high efficiency neutron chopping system utilizing Fourier analysis is described. The unique advantages of this system compared to alternative systems are discussed and illustrated through the use of results both from laboratory experiments and computer experiments. The relative error of the reconstructed time-of-flight (TOF) distribution is found. It is superior to a Fermi chopper for a TOF distribution consisting of sharp peaks while it is about equivalent for a slowly varying TOF spectrum. © 1969.
