摘要
A simple formula is proposed for the calculation of clement size at the interior part of a region based on the line segments composing the domain boundary. Using the concept of Delaunay triangulation and the advancing front technique, gradation meshes in consistency with the node spacing on the boundary can be generated over arbitrary planar regions. The quality of the mesh is guaranteed by the optimization of a parameter beta which measures the shape and size of a triangle. Examples of various characteristics are given to illustrate that high-quality gradation triangular element meshes can be generated by the present algorithm without requiring an explicitly defined node spacing function.
