摘要
The. application of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) to research into the beneficiation of minerals and coal by flotation is considered in general terms. The practical aspects of preparing and maintaining specimens for XPS that provide meaningful information are discussed in some detail. Examples of recent XPS work on sulfide mineral/collector systems and coal surface characterisation are described.
