摘要
Wide variations in the Po-210 contents of teleost fish have been reported in the literature. One cause of this variation is individual fish size; interfamily differences are another possible cause. We report supplementary data for Po-210 in fish and fish tissues, and combine these with published data to show, via allometric plots and covariance analysis, that interfamily, differences are significant: fish from the families Clupeidae and Scombridae have higher Po-210 contents. An association between Po-210 and the red muscle content of teleost fish and marine mammals is suggested, and is supported by new Po-210 data for dolphin and whale as well as for fish.
