摘要
Human erythrocytes synthesize 5-deoxy-D-xylulose-1-phosphate from added acetaldehyde and endogenous dihydroxyacetone phosphate. Acetaldehyde is not only a substrate for the reaction but also undergoes oxidation, causing reversal of glycolysis and thus accumulation of the product. © 1979.
