摘要
Using a statistical technique, we have determined the galaxy counts at K from a large area of sky. The resulting "fair sample" yields number counts in good agreement with those recently obtained from small-area surveys with infrared arrays. This shows that the direct counts have not been much affected by clustering. The combined observations however do not strongly discriminate between the various available models of the counts, including unphysical models where there is no evolution.
