摘要
Holistic cultural analysis is one method to study people's relationships to place. This method is illustrated by a detailed examination of the geographical knowledge of the Anggor of Papua New Guinea. This type of analysis is equally applicable to modern western contexts and complements psychologically oriented studies of mental maps and spatial perception. -Author
