摘要：

Over 1000 repeat prescriptions of psychotropic drugs, which were given without the doctor seeing the patient, were analysed from a population of over 100 000 patients during a two-week period. The analysis showed that the longer repeat prescribing had taken place the older the patient was likely to be and the less closely were they monitored by their general practitioner. © 1979, British Medical Journal Publishing Group.
