摘要
Extensive field studies were performed on Jungfraujoch, Switzerland (3450 m a.s.l.) during March, 1990, and January/February, 1991, in order to investigate in-cloud scavenging by snow. Indications for a correlation between atmospheric and snow concentrations were found only for components where gas scavenging or ice nucleation was involved (e.g. HNO3 and Ca2+, respectively). Pit samples from two neighboring stations (Fiescherhorn, 3900 m a.s.l., and Jungfraujoch) showed very good agreement for the delta-O-18 values and a 10 % increase in NO3- and SO4(2-) concentrations at the lower site.
