MULTILEPTONS AND THE STRUCTURE OF WEAK DECAYS OF BOTTOM MESONS

We present a model-independent analysis of bottom-quark weak interactions. In particular, we show how a study of multilepton events in e+e- annihilation can provide evidence for bottom particle production, and determine all the parameters of the ΔB = 1 decays such as (i) relative strength of ΔC = 1 and ΔC = 0 transitions, (ii) semileptonic branching ratio, (iii) amount of mixing, (iv) possible existence of flavour-changing neutral currents. Furthermore it is shown how three-and four-electron events from bottom decays can be used to obtain indirect evidence for the top quark. © 1979.
