PALLADIUM ION-EXCHANGED SAPO-5 AS A CATALYST FOR LOW-TEMPERATURE COMBUSTION OF METHANE

摘要
The combustion activity of molecular sieves ion-exchanged by Pd were investigated as a catalyst for low temperature combustion of CH4. Among the molecular sieves examined, silicoaluminophosphate-5 (SAPO-5) ion-exchanged by Pd exhibited the highest activity for CH4 combustion as well as the high thermal stability. Since the high dispersion of Pd was attained, the CH4 conversion at 90% attained at 753 K, which is 200 K lower than that of conventional Pd/Al2O3 catalysts.
