摘要
The superconducting Ba//2YCu//3O//x system prepared under various annealing conditions has been characterized by differential thermal analysis, thermogravimetry, powder X-ray diffraction and electrical resistivity measurements. Oxygen content x increases from 5. 86 to 7. 14 as the annealing temperature varies from 1273 to 473 K. The lattice symmetry is tetragonal for x equals 5. 86 and orthorhombic for x greater than 6. 01. The resistivity decreases from an order of 10**0 to 10** minus **4 OMEGA cm with increasing x from 5. 86 to 6. 86, but tends to increase for x greater than 6. 86; the highest Tc of about 88 K( rho equals 0) has been obtained for Ba//2YCu//3O//6//. //8//6, where the Cu**3** plus /Cu**2** plus ratio reaches 0. 72/2. 28. A change in x of plus or minus 0. 1 results in a considerable depression of Tc.
