摘要
The electrochemical reduction of metal ions was studied using transient electrochemical techniques. A fundamental analysis of the transient response was carried out to extract information about the rate of charge transfer, and the diffusion and adsorption of electroactive species. Equations are given which generalize the classical treatment developed for diffusion-controlled reactions. This analysis is used to exploit the experimental results concerning the electroreduction of chromium(II) ions in fused electrolytes.
