RAMAN-SPECTROSCOPY OF LEAD-CONTAINING BETA''-ALUMINA CRYSTALS

摘要
Polarized Raman spectra of mixed sodium/lead β″-alumina crystals, with a wide range of lead content, were recorded at temperatures below 300 K. A variety of effects, induced by the changes of sample composition, are reported. Those most remarkable concern the Raman intensity of the bands due to the vibrational dynamics of lead ions, which fall in the region below 100 cm-1. Finally, some intriguing quenching effects are reported for the intensity of the 10 cm-1 peak, which is observed at very low temperatures. © 1990.
