CHARACTERIZATION OF STRONGLY BOUND TRANSITION-METAL-MOLECULAR SILANE CATIONIC COMPLEXES IN THE GAS-PHASE

摘要
Formation and characterization of strongly bound molecular silane-Fe+ complexes are described in the gas phase by using Fourier transform mass spectrometry (FTMS). The relative order of silane binding energieS is Me2SiH2 > Me3SiH > MeSiH3 > Me4Si > SiH4. The binding energy of SiH4 exceeds 31.3 +/- 1.8 kcal/mol, and the binding energy of Me2SiH2 is ca. 39.9 +/- 1.4 kcal/mol.
