FERROMAGNETISM IN THE ALLOYS CEAG0.75GA3.25, CEPD0.3GA3.7, AND CEAG0.6AL3.4

摘要
The alloys CeAg0.75Ga3.25, CePd0.3Ga3.7, and CeAg0.6Al3.4 reported to crystallize in the BaAl4-type tetragonal structure, are investigated by magnetization M, electrical resistivity, and magnetoresistance measurements. All of these alloys appear to order ferromagnetically below about T(c) =4 K. M tends to saturate at low fields (< 10 kOe). The paramagnetic Curie temperature theta(p) is positive and the magnitude is comparable to T(c). This observation indicates a negligible influence of the Kondo effect in these alloys.
