摘要
For a homogeneous agricultural field or forest stand, the so-called Rayleigh-fading concept applies. The probability density functions of single look or n-look, linearly averaged radar data of such objects are well known; i.e., for presentation at a linear scale. However, in radar remote sensing radar data are often presented at the logarithmic dB scale. In this communication it is shown that statistics of logarithmically scaled (averaged) radar data can be described by simple analytical expressions using Riemann's zeta function and Euler's psi function. Some consequences of data presentation at a logarithmic scale are discussed.
