摘要
Calculations of the diffusion coefficients for interstitial oxygen in alpha -titanium were made on the basis of a rigorous analysis of the mechanisms of atomic jumping. This analysis is based on the possibility that an oxygen atom might jump from an octahedral site to a neighboring octahedral site either directly through a common face or by way of one or two intermediate tetrahedral sites. Statistical counts of different kinds of jumps were made.
