Electrochemical preparation of nanostructured bimetallic clusters

摘要
Using two sacrificial metal anodes as the metal source, the electrochemical preparation of tetraalkylammonium salt stabilized bimetallic clusters in the size range 2.5-3.5 nm is possible, e.g., Ni/Pd, Fe/Co, or Fe/Ni clusters stabilized by tetraoctylammonium bromide. The relative ratio of the two metals in the clusters can be controlled by adjustment of the current densities at the two anodes.
