摘要
(±)-Abscisic acid does not inhibit the incorporation of [2-14C]mevalonic acid into sterols in maize leave tissue. It does, however, depress the synthesis of chlorophylls, carotenoids and chloroplastidic isoprenoid quinones which normally takes place when etiolated maize leaf tissue is illuminated. It is suggested that abscisic acid may depress chloroplast formation. © 1970.
